Going Home...

It was really hard yesterday, as I new my pack was in the area. I was watching the door on every sound, but they did not show up. I know it is near time.

I have been really busy. There is some bushes being taken down, and some ground being dug up. Lot's of smells. I was enjoying myself so much I was running across the small field, I think the pack calls it a yard. But the best is eating.

Since my visit to the den, the other day, I have been getting special eating. I always hold out now until I get the special topping on my food. It usually takes the pack a while, they are nice but not the brightest of humans. Oh, what delectable morsels  - nom nom nom...

But today is the day. I have been waiting, and they came. I am happy and sad. Happy may pack is back and I am going home. And sad, as this pack has no one to keep them in order. I am thinking they will do fine.

My bags are packed, I am ready to go...

Thanks for watching in. I will update when I have another time away.

Right now, I am happy to be on my way home to my own pack.

Woof!,

Mary.

Day 5, busy, and tiring

I have been busy with this new family. We had fun for sun. I layed in the sun and shade. Outside is nice, not like home, but fun still. The pack leader was washing his car and working around the side of den. Not sure what he is doing, but he is spending a lot of time pointing a the thing he is making. I just keep getting my smells. The day was hard though.

This afternoon, I was not myself. The new pack does not understand my setup at home. So I was uncomfortable. I could not finish my dinner, and I could not get comfortable laying down. After some fussing, they decided to take to the place where you get poked  and put a cold metal round thing on your tummy. I got a car ride as well while here!!!

There are many different animal smells, but hardly see any. I got taken into a room and a really nice human I have never smelled before came in.

It was the same old thing, cold thing on the tummy, poke. prod, squeeze, <pat pat>, ...poke. They did a lot of talking and I had an examination the nature of I prefer not to discuss...and back to the waiting den.

Everything seems okay, and it took forever for them to quit chatting and leave.  I got another car ride, and I am home.

I think eating and drinking will be easier, you should see what they did to my dinner dish and water.

I am not happy, as they will not let me sleep in the den I am used to.

I have had a good day

So there is this thing that is in my way. Sometimes it is there, and sometimes it is not. I am not quite sure where it lives, but it is annoying...and separates me from the pack.

I had to get my tummy rubbed this morning. The older male would not leave me alone...so I came down stairs to keep him company.  He is pretty chatty in the morning.

But I did have some fun with one of the young ones. She is very loving and likes to pet my nose...as long as they are happy, I do not mind.

But tonight, I found out how mischievous the pack young ones are. I was, sleeping, while everyone sat in the room and stared at the wall. There was a lot of noise, But I could not see anything. Next thing I know, I am wrapped up in a blanket and everyone is laughing and saying something about a Mari-to. I was not amused...

This is a good pack...I just hope mine comes back soon...

Day three, inside the den

The inside of this pack's den is different. There is a long number of little flats, each one higher than the last. The go up to a big flat with a bunch of little den's. Each member has their own den, except for two that stay in the same den. I noticed one stays on the lower flat area...

I came down to the lower flat space and went outside. I found the latest smell. There are two cats the come through here. The squirrels are not up yet here, more on that later.

I followed one of the cats here, but they already left. I do not think they belong to this pack, but they do come around alot.

Busy Day...

It was busy today. I heard the oldest male pack leader up early. Since he did not feed me yesterday, no sense in wasting any time on him. I found a new space with this female pack member. I do not remember her,  but no matter, she is nice and I like being with the people at night. I was tending them today, to make sure they do what they are supposed to, what ever that is.

Late night last night...

These people need to understand, they need more rest. They were out way past my bed, er I mean their bed time.  I am hoping they think better tonight. I had to watch and make sure they did not get to far away. The fire was nice, and all the new evening smells, sounds, and sights were a pleasure. The grass was cool and just the older pack members sat by the fire.
So I waited. Eventually they got bored or tired, and went into the pack house. I followed to make sure they got in safely. Tomorrow is another day...

Hello, My name is Mary

Hello, my name is Mary. I am visiting another human pack, and thought I would like to share my experiences. I type slow, so please be patient.

Well, my own human pack had to travel again. I really miss them, but they always take care to make sure my surrogate home is nice. And they did find a great home. I have a nice yard with HUGE amount of new smells. I can spend hours in the yard smelling. There are a bunch of new squirrels I never smelled before. There are a bunch of new bushes and a fence that is new to me. Outside is not the only difference. However, I need to go now, cuz' the one pack member Amanda is calling me. I think she needs to pet me. I like this pack, but they do need a lot of attention. I really do not mind.
